Occupy Ray

after a pathetic month of idling beyond belief (including a downward spiral into the realm of funny books) and which mercilessly ended with the most tragic of whimpers yesterday (such is the nature of betrayal and false expectations), i thought to return to this blog (and the two hundredth post) with a promise to re-emerge from my shell of discontent and escapist nonsense back into the world in which i should be (and have been) in the first place.

i was helped along by a dream, where i saw a person who i have always felt an affinity with, and yet despite a far distance between us, i always thought (and not with the illusion of a commoner for a celebrity) that indeed we could be friends.  a smile indicated as much, almost two years ago.

this morning, returning to the gym after an even more pathetic time away- citing the usual excuses of tiredness and other unbelievables, my running partner was glenn gould and his masterful performance of the english suites (bach, of course), and listening to that- well,  it felt that all would be in order sure enough.

and, if it isn't, then there is only myself (as usual, for who else?) to blame.

a pleasant display along one of my daily walking routes
